We are excited to open the doors to our brand-new eye care office in Gilbert, Arizona, and we're looking for a friendly, motivated, and patient-focused Part-Time Optician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping patients look and see their best while being part of a positive, team-oriented environment from the very beginning.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best fit their lifestyle, prescription, and budget.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear products.
- Take accurate frame and facial measurements to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear.
- Verify prescriptions and process eyewear orders with laboratories.
- Maintain attractive optical displays and keep inventory organized.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments as needed, and assist with front office duties.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the doctor and team to create an outstanding patient experience.
Qualifications
- Previous optician or optical experience preferred (ABO certification is a plus but not required).
- Previously worked with RevolutionEHR (is a plus but not required)
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn practice management software.
- Team player with excellent attention to detail.
- Passion for helping patients and providing personalized care.
