As the 2nd shift Sanitation Lead you would be responsible for the overall cleaning/sanitizing of all food contact equipment, surfaces, and production floors. You would facilitate communication with Management and the Sanitation team in preparation of production start-up and audits. You will be the go to expert on manufacturing sanitation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash down and sanitize all processing equipment, floors, walls, pipes, drains, grounds, ect.
- Sanitizing/cleaning all food contact equipment, surfaces, production floors, ect.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment, and facilities meet mandatory sanitation requirements.
- Use cleaning chemicals
- Assembling and disassembling all the processing equipment in all areas of production, if needed
- Comply with all quality and food safety standards
- Clean/sanitize delicate and expensive machinery such as optical sensors and electrical components
- Report quality/safety/malfunctions to Department Manager
- Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job
Qualifications:
- Experience working on a sanitation team in a food manufacturing facility required
- Managerial experience preferred
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
- Able to work 2nd shift, and overtime as needed
- Mechanically inclined preferred
- Basic knowledge of food manufacturing equipment, such as conveyor belts, ect. in order to turn machinery on/off
- Ability/ knowledge to handle and mix chemicals into portable sprayers
- Cleaning supplies and equipment, such as pressure washers etc.
