Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Electric Pallet Jack Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of goods within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in materials handling, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and safety compliance. Responsibilities
- Operate electric pallet jacks safely to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and manual methods to fulfill shipping requirements accurately
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Manage inventory by organizing stock, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation
- Utilize clamp trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment as needed for materials handling
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling to prevent accidents
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space and workflow efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment to promote safety and productivity
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or materials handling roles
- Valid certification or experience operating electric pallet jacks, forklifts, crane, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving processes and inventory management systems
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for inventory counting and measurements
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting tasks
- Experience with RF scanners, basic math skills, and warehouse software is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
