Veterinary Assistant Duties include (but not limited to):
- Provide assistance to veterinarians and staff by providing patient restraint during procedures and examinations.
- Feeding and caring for hospitalized/boarded patients.
- Clean and exercise hospitalized/boarded patients.
- Must be able to handle strong pet odors, bodily fluids, and loud noises.
- Must have a willingness to develop skills to work with fractious feline and canine pets.
- Maintain hospital and surgical room in preparation for procedures.
- Prepare instruments and medications as directed by the veterinary personnel.
- Adhere to hospital safety and wellness regulations.
- Ability to lift patients (with assistance) up to 75 pounds. Flexibility for scheduling is preferred.
- Bilingual communication preferred, but not required.
Pet Care Coordinator/Receptionist Duties include (but not limited to):
- Welcome pet owners and patients in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to answer phone calls, take and deliver messages to medical staff.
- Schedule various routine and surgical appointments.
- Keep patient files organized.
- Maintain a clean and safe lobby and overall work environment.
- Bilingual communication preferred, but not required.
