Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the produce department, including stocking, merchandising, and inventory management
- Support team members in providing outstanding customer service and addressing customer inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Participate in employee orientation and training sessions to develop leadership and supervisory skills
- Help monitor inventory levels, conduct stock rotations, and manage purchasing to minimize waste and maximize sales
- Collaborate with management on pricing strategies, promotional displays, and store merchandising plans
- Supervise team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to safety standards, store policies, and quality control procedures
- Handle cash register operations including cashiering and cash handling with accuracy and integrity
Experience
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or customer service environment is highly valued
- Strong communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and retail math concepts is advantageous
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
