Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Produce Department
- Order, receive, price, stock, and merchandise fresh fruits and vegetables
- Maintain department profitability through effective inventory and shrink control
- Lead, train, schedule, and motivate department team members
- Create attractive, well-stocked displays that drive sales
- Monitor product freshness, rotation, quality, and availability
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and company standards are consistently met
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department
Qualifications
- Previous produce, grocery, or retail management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in refrigerated environments
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
