Position Summary
The HR & Accounting Coordinator is responsible for managing core accounting activities while providing administrative support for human resources processes. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, and employee administration who enjoys working across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities
- Process and record vendor invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
- Manage accounts payable and prepare payment runs.
- Perform bank, credit card, vendor, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
- Support budgeting, reporting, and audit preparation activities.
- Enter and maintain financial information within ERP and accounting systems.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee onboarding and new hire documentation.
- Maintain employee files and HR records.
- Support payroll processing by updating employee information and tracking changes.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and employee benefits administration.
- Track employee vacation, leave, and attendance records.
- Prepare employment letters and HR-related documentation.
- Support recruitment activities, including posting jobs and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Prepare reports and summaries for management.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting and HR processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, HR administration, or a combination of these areas.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.
- Experience supporting payroll and employee administration.
- Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of employment standards and payroll regulations.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products environment.
Salary range estimated and dependent on experience: $45,000 - $60,000
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
