Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist Supervisor to lead and oversee comprehensive occupational therapy services across diverse clinical settings. Duties
- Supervise and mentor a team of occupational therapists, providing guidance on clinical practices, documentation, and professional development
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients across various populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neurodevelopmental disorders, and post-acute care
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to determine patient needs and establish effective treatment strategies
- Oversee the implementation of occupational therapy programs aimed at improving ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and schools
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and social workers to optimize patient care outcomes
- Provide training on specialized areas such as autism spectrum disorders support, early intervention techniques, pediatric occupational therapy practices, and occupational health initiatives
- Stay current with evidence-based practices in occupational therapy by participating in ongoing education and professional development activities
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across diverse settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, home health environments, or skilled nursing facilities
- Extensive background in pediatric occupational therapy including early intervention programs and school-based services
- Demonstrated expertise in developing treatment plans for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as physical rehabilitation needs
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy assessments and interventions
- Experience working with patients requiring assistance with ADLs and discharge planning processes
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical terminology necessary for accurate clinical reporting
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience overseeing clinical staff or multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds while supporting client-centered care approaches
- Skilled in implementing occupational therapy assessments that inform treatment strategies tailored to individual needs across inpatient, outpatient, home health or school environments

Pay: $31.00 - $41.00 per hour
