As a Security Officer Armed - Facility in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or law enforcement when needed.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.

Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public access points, verifying credentials and following post orders for authorized access and visitor processing.

Support investigations related to policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or reported concerns by gathering details, preparing reports, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
