Brickpoint Properties is seeking a full-time Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at a large apartment community on the North Shore.
We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience who can assist not only with general maintenance requests, but also with larger property improvement and exterior projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with carpentry, exterior repairs, drainage/storm water repairs, and working independently on a variety of maintenance and site-related tasks.
We perform much of our work in-house, including repairs, painting, unit turns, grounds work, and property improvement projects. This position is best suited for someone dependable, motivated, and experienced in a wide range of maintenance and construction-related work. MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE!
Responsibilities
- General apartment maintenance and repairs
- Light carpentry and exterior building repairs
- Storm drain and drainage repairs
- Painting, drywall, and general repair work
- Assist with capital and property improvement projects
- Support unit renovations and apartment turns
- Grounds and exterior property maintenance
- Assist maintenance staff with larger repair projects
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, construction, or carpentry experience required
- Experience with exterior/site work or drainage repairs preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Apartment maintenance experience is a plus
