Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Provide expert knowledge on wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail offerings to elevate the guest experience
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience in a fast-paced or fine dining setting
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash safely
- Food safety certification or understanding of sanitation standards in food handling environments
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus but not required; a passion for food industry standards is essential
