Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team for the early morning shift from 6am to 2pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability.
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with care plans and facility protocols.
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies.
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition intake.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, adhering to sanitation standards.
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities and resident progress efficiently.
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to foster a positive environment.
- Collaborate with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident’s needs.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and medication administration protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques, memory care practices, and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within a team environment.
- Valid certification in caregiving or relevant healthcare training is advantageous; CPR certification is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and resident safety procedures.
- Physical capability to perform caregiving duties including lifting, transferring, and assisting residents as needed.
