Located in Schaumburg, IL, a world-renowned manufacturer of CNC machine tools is seeking a talented CNC Spindle Repair Technician to support their expanding service and rebuild department. You will manage the entire lifecycle of high-speed CNC spindles, handling tasks from initial mechanical teardown and evaluation to precision machining, final assembly, and performance verification. Core Responsibilities

Execute the complete teardown, evaluation, restoration, and verification of high-speed CNC spindles.

Utilize manual lathes and grinders to perform necessary precision machining tasks.

Ensure repair accuracy by utilizing torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and dynamic balancing tools.

Identify mechanical issues and implement solutions to help return spindles to optimal operational performance.

Analyze technical schematics, blueprints, and instructional manuals to guide repair processes.

Improve team coordination by maintaining detailed repair logs and updating engineering and service departments on project status.

Provide support for occasional field service assignments, which may require travel on short notice, including weekends or overnight stays.
Required Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial maintenance, precision mechanical work, or CNC spindle repair.

Demonstrated proficiency in using precision measurement instruments like torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and balancing equipment.

Practical background in operating manual grinding and lathe machinery.

Proven ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
