Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects across multiple locations. This dynamic role requires a proactive leader who can oversee all phases of construction, ensure project delivery on time and within budget, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. The Traveling Superintendent will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to drive project success while maintaining excellent communication and management practices. Duties
- Oversee daily operations on multiple construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software, adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to verify scope of work and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and progress tracking; utilize tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing when necessary.
- Manage project documentation including daily reports, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and budget tracking using ProCore or Bluebeam.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and team members to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations; promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects.
- Extensive site supervision experience with a focus on safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other industry tools.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and supervise subcontractors confidently.
- Familiarity with contracts administration and change order processes within the construction industry.
- Ability to travel frequently between project sites; valid driver’s license required. Pay: $135,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
