PET CARE/CUSTOMER SERVICE position open at our busy and well established pet boarding hotel. Primary responsibility is the health and well-being of the pets (dogs, cats, birds, small exotics) in our care as well as giving superior and personalized customer service to our long term and new clients.
Bilingual, previous kennel environment experience (volunteer or paid), customer service and/or cashier experience a plus but not required.
This is a daytime position normally between the hours of 8am to 5pm. Duties include working with clients (taking reservations, answering questions, giving tours, checking guests in/out), detailed data entry, general care of and play/interaction with pets in kennel and in yard on an individual basis (no group play), cleaning, special feedings and giving or applying medications.
We are looking for a team member who is attentive to both pet owners and pets, able to multi-task and be detail oriented. Must be physically able to handle large active dogs of any breed and able to lift up to 45 pounds. Must be dependable, a hard worker and be able to submit to background checks.
Pooled Tips average increase hourly wage $+.35 to +$.75, Double-Time Holiday Pay, Paid Vacation/PTO, Employee Pet Care Discounts, Small Business/Family Work Environment.
