Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Lead to drive excellence in our distribution center. Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to meet operational goals.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking within the warehouse management system (WMS) and maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate warehouse distribution activities to ensure timely order fulfillment, including heavy lifting and mechanical handling tasks with forklifts or other equipment.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows across all warehouse functions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols during all warehouse activities; conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Manage shipping & receiving operations, including documentation accuracy and coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) providers using systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or equivalent platforms.
- Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge for materials handling equipment operation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process execution.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes and 3PL operations is highly desirable. Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lead Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse and distribution operations within a pharmaceutical distribution environment. This role is designed for a high-performing individual who demonstrates leadership potential.The ideal candidate will help oversee warehouse workflows, maintain regulatory compliance, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and support shipping operations involving pharmaceutical products, including temperature-sensitive and regulated inventory.This position offers structured training and advancement opportunities into warehouse and shipping management.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Distribution Operations
- Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and inventory control
- Ensure pharmaceutical products are handled, stored, and shipped according to company SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Verify order accuracy, lot numbers, expiration dates, and shipping documentation
- Maintain compliance with FDA, DEA, OSHA, cGMP, and company quality standards
- Support handling of temperature-controlled and sensitive pharmaceutical products
- Assist with inventory cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy investigations
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure warehouse conditions
Leadership & Team Support
- Help coordinate daily warehouse staffing and workflow priorities
- Train and mentor warehouse associates on procedures, safety, and compliance standards
- Monitor productivity, accuracy, and adherence to SOPs
- Serve as a shift lead and escalation point for operational issues
Shipping & Logistics Development
- Train on carrier coordination, freight scheduling, and shipping compliance
- Learn pharmaceutical shipping regulations and documentation requirements
- Assist with KPI tracking, shipping metrics, and operational reporting
- Support optimization of warehouse flow and shipping efficiency
- Develop leadership and operational management skills in preparation for promotion
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience required
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or regulated distribution experience preferred
- Previous lead, supervisor, or team lead experience strongly preferred
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning systems
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- I.T. Literate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word)
- Reliable attendance and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of FDA, DEA, cGMP, GDP, or pharmaceutical distribution standards
- Experience handling temperature-sensitive or controlled products
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, LTL freight, and shipping software platforms
- Inventory control and cycle counting experience
- Experience training warehouse staff and leading small teams

Pay: $26.92 - $32.42 per hour
