Accounting Assistant (Full-Time)
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a small business environment and enjoys handling a variety of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable, strong organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills. This role requires daily interaction with customers, suppliers, and team members while managing the complete paperwork cycle for an industrial and aerospace distributor/manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable postings
- Prepare and process outgoing customer invoices
- Process vendor payments and checks
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally
- Handle incoming mail and distribute accordingly
- File, organize, and match paperwork accurately
- Provide sales and administrative support as needed
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties and special projects
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with ERP systems and strong computer/data entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and filing abilities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to succeed
Hours & Schedule
- Hours scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (w/ 1-hour lunch)
Compensation
Salary: $33,000 – $35,000 annually
The position is based in North Canton, Ohio and is NOT remote. Specialty Hose offers a competitive benefits package to all employees.
