Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and standards

- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment following food safety procedures
- Support meal service by plating dishes efficiently and ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Handle dishwashing duties with attention to hygiene standards, ensuring all cookware and utensils are spotless and ready for use
- Follow proper food handling protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and high-volume production environments
- Experience with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production processes
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation across multiple cuisines including fine dining settings
- Knowledge of catering operations and serving practices enhances your ability to thrive in this role
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food handling and preparation
