Our client located in the Morrow area is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join their growing organization.
Fluency in both English and Vietnamese is required for this role due to regular communication with English- and Vietnamese-speaking employees
This is a permanent, Direct Hire position
Location: Morrow, GA - They are working onsite 5 days/week
Salary: $60K
Assists the HR Manager by administering policies and procedures related to all phases of human resources. Acts as main point of contact for all benefits inquiries and manages the HR Admin role. Handles Employee Relations and other HR support functions.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for day-to-day benefits administration and compliance. With the direction of the HR Manager, Employee is responsible for benefits eligibility and orientation, insurance enrollments and terminations, processing QLEs, and coordinating assistance with carriers and brokers.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting compliance.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Responds to inquiries regarding benefit eligibility policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist HR Manager with H&W and retirement plan audits, document discovery and answer auditor inquiries as needed.
- Support onboarding and offboarding employees. Assists as needed in conducting new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Communicates and trains personnel on new directives, policies, or procedures answering questions.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting comply
- Supports employees in employee relation matters, HRIS setup and support, T&A questions, and general data requests.
- May be asked to conduct initial investigations related to harassment, discrimination, and other issues, with the direction of HR Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related business field preferred
- 2-3 years of previous HR Generalist experience
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) required
- Paycor experience a plus.
- 2 years of manufacturing facility experience a plus
- HR Certification (HRCI, SHRM) a plus.
Travel Requirements:
- Employee will be required to travel up to 25% of the time - one full week (Monday-Friday) every 4-6 weeks, either to Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL, depending where the employee is based out of.
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
