We are seeking a skilled GI Surgical Technician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is safe and sterile. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient positioning
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Provide post-operative patient care as needed
- Travel to nearby centers may be required
**Experience:**
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician in GI
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures
- Familiarity with hospital medicine practices
- Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and understanding various body systems
Job Types: Full-time, Per diem
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
