Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare teams.
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Facilitate patient transfers using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to promote mobility and safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and support meal planning aligned with dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and timely arrivals.
- Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with clients and team members to deliver consistent support.
- Assist with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, or neurodevelopmental disorders to meet individual needs.
- Follow all safety procedures including CPR, first aid, manual handling, and patient monitoring to uphold the highest standards of care.
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home health environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient personal care assistance, medication administration, and patient transfer methods is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation accurately while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality is required.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred; ongoing training in healthcare practices is encouraged for growth.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
