Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep and Cook to join our culinary team. This job is Wednesday through Saturday 8:30AM-2:30PM. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely contributing to the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Assist in the menu planning process by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in food preparation.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Handle food items safely, adhering to proper food handling guidelines.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
- Utilize knife skills effectively for various food preparations.
- Assist in serving meals during busy service periods.
