Job Description:
Summary:
Primary clinical responsibilities include conducting neuropsychological assessments for outpatient neurology program focusing on memory care patients. Secondary focus of the position is outpatient referrals as directed by neurology. Participation in research activities is not required.Provide a full range of diagnostic and evaluation services appropriate to the neurological settingDevelop, implement, and document treatment plans and monitor care componentsFacilitate patient and family education on presenting concernsConsult with neurologists and advanced practice providers to support decision making and build on interventions.Offer supervision and training to social workers, nurses, and other team membersAssist in design, development, and implementation of clinical programsParticipate in program evaluation and data-driving quality improvement projects
Requirements:
Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD.) or Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from an APA accredited institution.Completed a two year fellowship in clinical neuropsychology
Licenses and Certifications:
Licensed to practice Psychology in the State of Tennessee and VirginiaEligible for membership in the National Register of Health Care Providers.Eligible for American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) certification.Eligible for certification/credentialing in neurological testing specific to memory care through the American Psychological Association or equivalent credentialing body.
