Actell Elderly Care Inc. is a dedicated home health agency with over 20 years of experience, providing compassionate, non-skilled care services to seniors and individuals with disabilities. We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Health Aide or CNA for a specialized 57-hour-a-week home care case.
This position involves providing total assistance to a non-verbal, partially bedbound female patient who utilizes both a bed and a wheelchair. The ideal candidate will be skilled in non-verbal communication and comfortable working in a home setting alongside the patient’s family.
Schedule Details:
- Hours: 57 hours per week, Monday through Sunday.
- Start Time: Around 10:00 AM
- Shift Structure: Shifts will vary based on family needs; candidates should be flexible to accommodate a mix of straight shifts (e.g., 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and split shifts throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with patient mobility, including safe transfers from bed to chair or vice versa.
- Support a clean and safe home environment through light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- CPR up to date
- Level 2 Background Check
- Physical & Tuberculosis Test (done within the last 6 months)
- Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or CNA certification.
- Inservices up to date: HIV, OSHA, Domestic Violence, HIPAA, Alzheimers, Infection Control.
- Demonstrated experience in home health or long-term care settings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including patient lifting and transfers.
- Reliable, professional, and dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalized care.
