American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend CT Scan assignment at a Level 1 Trauma hospital, requiring ARRT(CT) certification and Epic EMR experience.

CT Scan department at an acute care hospital
-
3x12-hour shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
-
36 hours per week
-
Holiday coverage required, including July 4th
-
Performs CT procedures including multiplanar reformatting and 3D rendering
-
Administers IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
-
ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification required
-
ARRT(CT) certification required
-
IEMA Radiography License required (if applicable)
-
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
-
Minimum 1 year of relevant CT technologist experience

Epic EMR experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Proficiency in contrast administration, multiplanar reformatting, 3D rendering, adverse reaction recognition, and pregnancy screening

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Performs CT exams in accordance with accrediting body and manufacturer guidelines, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images

Reviews patient labs and history to ensure correct exam is performed
-
Recognizes and responds to adverse or allergic reactions to contrast
-
Screens patients for pregnancy and performs pregnancy testing when applicable
-
May assume duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence

May be required to perform duties in other modalities for which the technologist holds applicable licensure

Assists with instruction of students and new staff as needed

RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract

Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
