Position: Manufacturing Technician I – Entry Level
Reports to: Reagent Chemistry Manufacturing Manager
Overview of position: A successful candidate in this position will be able to thrive in a high paced atmosphere. Manufacturing Technician I works under general supervision and is expected to follow established procedures in the manufacture of ELISA kits and components. Collaboration and teamwork are part of the daily workflow to ensure proper dual verification of tasks as needed as well as general support and continuous learning in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
· Follows a manufacturing schedule.
· Must have complete awareness of other departments and their functionality as it relates to manufacturing by having interactions with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and R&D to provide information and support for intermediate and finished products.
· Uses GDP during performance of in-process manufacturing documents such as Manufacturing Process Instructions, Work Instructions, and Standard Operation Procedures.
· Uses cGMP while performing manufacturing processes such as buffer formulations (includes filling, capping, and labeling), serial dilutions of standards and controls, titrations, plate coating, lyophilization, and shadows during conjugations.
· Knowledge with, but is not limited to: Deviations, CAPA(s), and NCMR(s), and change orders.
· Performs bulk inventory control by ordering, tracking, sequestration, and waste.
· Participates directly in and documents the operation, maintenance, and calibration of manufacturing methods and equipment.
· Laboratory up-keep, includes washing glassware and unpacking/organizing ordered laboratory materials, sweeping, and dusting.
· Assists in inventory reconciliation by maintaining accurate records on inventory labels and assisting in cycle counts.
· Adhering to lab safety and PPE requirements (Lab coat, safety goggles, and gloves).
Skills & Qualifications:
· Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
· May require 0 - 2 years of general work experience.
· Familiarity with GMP work environment and aseptic techniques preferred but not required.
· Must have adequate written and verbal communication skills.
· Familiarity with MS Office Programs preferred (Word, excel, PowerPoint).
· Detail orientation mindset is a must have.
· Physical ability to lift and/ or carry objects weighing 40 lbs. or less and pushing / pulling objects weighing 100 lbs. or less.

Pay: $25.22 - $30.37 per hour
