We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team in Clermont. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support family law practitioners in managing complex cases, preparing legal documents, and providing exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, extensive paralegal experience, and a passion for helping clients navigate sensitive family law matters.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation, spousal support, and related proceedings.
- Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and settlement agreements with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research.
- Coordinate court filings, schedule hearings, and track deadlines to ensure timely case progression and efficient workflow.
- Assist with document review and procedural law knowledge to streamline case workflows.
- Provide executive administrative support as needed to attorneys and team members to enhance overall office efficiency.
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience in a busy law office environment with a focus on family law or related practice areas.
- Extensive knowledge of legal administrative processes including the E-filing portal and Clerk of Courts document system.
- Strong understanding of procedural law requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform legal research accurately and efficiently while maintaining high-quality writing skills for drafting legal documents.
- Experience conducting interviews with clients and witnesses in sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal document review processes including proofreading for accuracy and transcription tasks.
