MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists is looking for a 3D Camera Tracking and Mapping Technician to join our team in Laguna Hills, CA. This is a full-time in-office position with occasional field work that requires advanced spatial analysis. The 3D tracking, mapping and graphics work done will form the foundation for opinions generated by MEA’s expert witnesses.
The annual salary is $70,000 to $90,000 depending on skill and experience. We contribute $1000 per month towards healthcare plan premiums (medical, dental, vision) and offer a safe harbor 401(k) plan. Starting vacation is 3 weeks (accrued annually) and we observe 12 paid holidays per year.
- Draft scene diagrams and exhibits.
- Interpret, extract, and map spatial evidence from reports.
- Perform and process 3D laser scans, structured light scans, and drone images.
- Perform photogrammetry to extract spatial evidence from photographs.
- 3D camera and object tracking from video.
- Associate degree in surveying, mapping or similar discipline.
- 3+ years of 3D tracking/surveying/mapping experience.
- Familiarity with 3D laser scanning workflow and point cloud processing.
- High ethical and technical standards.
- 3ds Max or Maya modeling and animation experience.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience using SynthEyes.
- Drone experience.
