About the Role

The Drunken Laboratory is a nightlife entertainment experience. Think immersive shows, loud music, dancing with guests, and high energy. This is a hands-on, in-venue leadership role — not a desk job. We’re hiring a General Manager to own day-to-day operations, lead the team, hit performance targets, and ensure every show runs smoothly. You are accountable for execution, standards, and results.
This Role Is For You If You Are:
● A strong operator who thrives in fast-paced nightlife or events environments
● Confident leading managers and frontline teams
● Organized with strong systems, scheduling, and follow-through
● Comfortable being on the floor during live shows
● Calm under pressure and decisive when things go sideways
● Accountable for results, not just effort
Do NOT Apply If You Are:
● Uncomfortable managing people or holding standards
● Prefer behind-the-scenes roles with minimal floor presence
● Easily overwhelmed in high-volume environments
● Not reliable on nights and weekends (this role REQUIRES weekend availability)
Responsibilities:
● Own daily operations and live show execution
● Lead Shift Managers and all floor staff
● Hire, train, and coach team members
● Build schedules and ensure coverage for all shows
● Monitor performance, guest experience, and team standards
● Handle escalations and operational issues in real time
● Manage basic reporting and communicate updates to leadership
● Ensure compliance with local safety and alcohol service standards
Experience & Requirements:
● Prior experience as a General Manager min 3 years or senior operations leader in
nightlife, hospitality, events, or high-volume entertainment required
● Strong leadership, scheduling, and operational execution skills
● Comfortable managing multiple roles and priorities at once
● Must be dependable and able to work nights/weekends
Pay & Perks:
● $70,000–$85,000/year (or hourly equivalent)
