Boston Road Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team. We are a 1 doctor, full-service small animal clinic that prides itself on providing high-quality medical and surgical care and building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
Shifts would predominantly be 7:45AM to 5:15PM 4 days through the week (sometimes 6:15PM on Tuesdays) and Saturdays 9AM to 2PM with two Saturdays off per month.
Position: Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Location: Lexington, KY
Type: Full-Time, 8 hour shift, Day shift
Responsibilities:
- Safely restrain animals for exams, procedures, and treatments
- Obtain patient histories from owners and communicate effectively with the veterinary team
- Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
- Discharge patients and review home care instructions with owners
- Perform general cleaning and clinic upkeep to ensure a safe, sanitary environment
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Support veterinarians and fellow staff in daily clinical operations
- Fill in at the reception desk when needed, including answering phones, scheduling, and client communication
Qualifications:
We would like to hire an LVT/RVT, but we encourage all experienced applicants to apply.
