Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to join our team, dedicated to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children with diverse needs. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, communication techniques, and educational technology integration to support comprehensive child development.
- Manage classroom environments by establishing clear behavior management protocols and instructional modifications that foster positive behavior and active participation.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate student support strategies effectively.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress through standardized testing, formative evaluations, and observational data collection to inform instructional adjustments.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress, IEP goals, and behavioral health strategies.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers or teaching interns to ensure high-quality instruction and consistent classroom management practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or special education environments; preschool or private school experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management for students with disabilities, and special education law including IEP processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for literacy, math, communication skills, and behavioral health interventions.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques tailored for students with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher interactions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities; training in speech therapy or behavioral therapy is a plus.
- Ability to utilize educational technology tools effectively to enhance learning experiences.
