Staff Accountant
Birmingham, Alabama (Temporary to Permanent)
$30 - $38 per hour
Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support corporate accounting functions tied to financial reporting, account analysis, and month-end activities. This temporary-to-potentially-permanent position is based in Birmingham and focuses on maintaining accurate general ledger activity through journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliation work.
In this role, you will contribute to the monthly close process by recording and reviewing corporate-level transactions, evaluating account activity, and producing supporting schedules. The position works closely with internal accounting leadership and requires the ability to manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy across assigned accounting areas.
What You’ll Do:
Complete account reconciliations involving cash, insurance, intercompany balances, and other assigned areas
