Job Summary: The Maintenance Level II is responsible for the proper maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, hotel public areas, back of house spaces, meeting rooms, kitchen and lounge. Responds to maintenance requests generated by staff members and guests in a timely manner. Maintenance of the hotel may include but is not limited to, electrical work, carpentry, painting, plumbing, general maintenance, pool maintenance, furniture repair, and serves as a relief supervisor in the absence of the chief engineer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Repairs mechanical, electrical, kitchen & laundry equipment.
- Maintains and repairs wallpaper, drywall, and other general maintenance in guest rooms.
- Plumbing repairs, including replacing and repairing pipes.
- Pool and spa maintenance, including but not limited to filter cleaning, regularly testing and accurately recording pool chemicals, maintaining water level, and cleaning pool and spa.
- Serves as a relief supervisor in the absence of the chief engineer.
- Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the property.
- Perform duties assigned by the chief engineer, supervisor-on-duty and hotel management, including but not limited to completing tasks submitted by work order.
- Daily and regularly checks for new maintenance requests from the PMS (Property Management System) and update remarks once the task is completed.
- Carry out specific oral and written instructions.
- Acknowledge and responds to occupied and vacant guestroom repair requests in a timely manner.
- Responds to guest calls in a positive, guest-oriented manner.
- Participation in preventative maintenance program per set schedules.
- Regularly performs preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, kitchen, and lounge per set schedules.
- Assists with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and hotel property.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Attend and complete appropriate training courses, when require
- Responsible for working in a safe and conscientious manner. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
