Job Summary:
The IT Intern will assist with the installation and deployment of EDG computers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up new hires with equipment and appropriate access to the company’s system;
- Configure and deploy laptops for existing employees, including system imaging and software installation;
- Provide post-deployment support to ensure a smooth transition to new devices, including troubleshooting and user assistance;
- Assist in the decommissioning and disposal of old IT equipment and related materials;
- Minor troubleshooting skills related to equipment like printers or computers;
- Assist with the implementations, installations, configurations, monitoring, trouble shooting and evaluation of existing and new operating systems;
- May confer with database programmers, analysts or other system administrators.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Currently enrolled in High school or vocational high school program;
- Interest in pursuing opportunities to develop IT technical skills;
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows 11;
- Basic understanding of computer systems and hardware, mobile devices and other tech products;
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues;
- Ability to properly manage time and handle multiple tasks;
- Hands on technical skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private Office) but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations;
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

- Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds;
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permit employee to communicate effectively;
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permit employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
- Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties;
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
