Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational educational journey. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and social studies.
- Utilize innovative learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students who need extra help, including those with special education needs or autism spectrum disorder.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives to promote best practices in early childhood education.
- Mentor new teachers or interns, sharing expertise in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with children of diverse backgrounds.
- Incorporate library services and other resources to enrich the learning experience.
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavioral concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in various settings; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools and educational software relevant to elementary education.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing preparation.
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with autism or other learning differences is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners’ needs.
- Writing skills necessary for documentation, report writing, and communicating student progress clearly. Pay: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
