POSITION PROFILE
Position: Classroom Teaching Partner
Job Description: Teaching Partners assist teachers by supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be part of a team, collaborating and co-teaching with colleagues to help students successfully complete their respective grade levels in accordance with all goals, assessments, and standards.
Specifically, as a teaching partner, you will:
- Collaborate with and support classroom teachers to meet students’ needs
- Assist teachers in implementing relevant literacy, math, science, and social studies activities aligned to national standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to create, revise, and implement projects and use a co-teaching model to deliver content
- Assist teachers in guiding students to engage in critical thinking: use of protocols, simulations, workshops, Socratic seminars, and cooperative learning
- Assist with the use of formative and summative assessments as directed by teachers to track student progress; engage students in the assessment and tracking process
- Provide differentiated support including accommodations and modifications to ensure all students are able to meet and exceed standards
- Assist teachers to coordinate and participate in day and overnight fieldwork including camping trips
- Implement school-wide responsive practices to effectively build relationships with students, manage the classroom, and enhance classroom culture
- Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
- Supervise students in classrooms, halls, bathrooms, school yards, and multi-use spaces

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,360.00 - $44,058.47 per year
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- teaching assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
