We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Office Assistant to support the daily administrative and financial operations of our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, or office support and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily business office operations, including billing, collections, and resident accounts
- Support Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and third-party billing processes
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with obtaining authorizations as needed
- Assist with accounts receivable, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Maintain resident trust accounts, petty cash, and PNA records
- Prepare and organize financial and administrative reports
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service to residents and families
- Maintain accurate resident files and business office records
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the Business Office Manager, Administrator, and interdisciplinary team to support efficient facility operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree preferred)
- Previous experience in a business office, medical billing, or healthcare administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification processes preferred
- Experience with EMR and billing systems (PCC experience preferred)
- Experience handling PNA accounts and petty cash preferred
- Familiarity with long-term care insurance authorizations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills

Pay: $70,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
