Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their preferences and needs
- Provide detailed product demonstrations and educate customers on different strains, consumption methods, and effects
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Upsell products by highlighting new arrivals, promotions, or complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized
- Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and proper product rotation to ensure freshness and compliance
- Deliver outstanding customer service by answering questions clearly, maintaining professional phone etiquette, and fostering a positive shopping experience
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment with POS familiarity
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly interactions—bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Experience with product demos, merchandising, stocking, and retail math techniques
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about different strains, consumption methods, and industry regulations
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to engage with diverse clientele effectively
