Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting tobacco products, accessories, and related merchandise
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase new items and enhance customer interest
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract attention and promote featured products
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring inventory levels are maintained and products are easily accessible
- Upsell complementary items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment to ensure product availability
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or specialty shop environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory counts
- Knowledge of customer service best practices, including phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
