SUMMARY: To greet, prioritize, and schedule appointments for patients and/or their families in the clinic area. To ensure the waiting area is in order and assist anyone having questions or seeking assistance.
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Healthstream Policy Manager.
Required to work with the Clinic Manager regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Cardiac Lab Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other: Specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g., clerical/administrative
Other: The ideal applicant will possess excellent public relation and customer service skills, including interacting with patients in a friendly, positive manner. This individual will be an effective communicator who is capable of tactfully and distinctly exchanging information with the general public, patients, physicians, hospital employees, and physicians' offices, while presenting a professional persona. It is imperative that individuals interested in this position possess the capacity to understand oral and written instructions, demonstrate the ability to prioritize work and function independently with little supervision. Computer and clerical skills are required and proficient use of Microsoft Word/Excel is expected. A basic understanding of medical terminology and how to register a patient and process insurance are also expected.
