The Opportunity:
Hospitality Practice Marketing Specialist
The Hospitality Practice Marketing Specialist owns proposal strategy and development, business development support, and market positioning for both Perkins Eastman's hospitality architecture practice and ForrestPerkins, the firm's hospitality interiors brand. This role partners directly with Practice Area Leaders and principals to advance business development goals, maintain the strategic hospitality plan, and ensure the practice has a visible, differentiated presence in the market.
Primarily Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the hospitality practice strategic plan in partnership with PALs; review quarterly
- Establish and manage the yearly marketing budget
- Lead national and regional hospitality calls, including regular conference calls, regional meetings, and quarterly webinars
- Benchmark competition and track industry trends, hospitality brands, and flags
Business Development
- Facilitate client development efforts and assist principals in new client meetings with full command of the hospitality portfolio
- Lead the Go/No Go decision-making process
- Attend conferences and seminars to grow PE's market recognition
- Conduct in-depth research on potential opportunities
Proposals and Recognition
- Lead strategy and hands-on development of significant proposals and interview materials
- Maintain a current library of marketing materials and pursue ongoing portfolio documentation
- Research and develop awards submissions, speaking opportunities, and other recognition vehicles
- Develop trend pieces, stories, and white papers with the Communications team
Relationships
- Reports to the Director of Marketing
- Close working relationship with PALs, principals, and marketing and communications teams
- Key resource for all hospitality principals' firm-wide
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in marketing, graphic design or communications
- 10–15 years in strategic marketing, business development, or communications within an architecture or interior design firm, with direct hospitality practice experience
- Demonstrated experience working with principals and executives on strategy development and execution
- Strong proposal writing and production skills
- Excellent research, analysis, and synthesis capabilities; strong verbal and written communication
- A trained eye for visual storytelling — able to evaluate photography selection, cropping, and composition, and match image mood to narrative intent
- Familiarity with brand standards and the judgment to apply them consistently across materials

PE has a hybrid policy that allows flexibility for our employees in managing their working days and hours to cater to their diverse needs.
Salary Range: $105k to $115k
Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.
