Michael Monaco, MD is a small business in Leawood, KS.
We are seeking a highly motivated LPN or Medical Assistant to join our clinic team. The successful candidate will provide primary care services to patients in our internal medicine department . This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced professional to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care and education in a clinic setting.
- Assist physicians in providing primary care services.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, giving injections, and additional testing.
- Obtaining Prior authorizations for procedures and medication.
- Document patient care services in the medical record.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to company policy and guidelines, as well as applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
- 2 or 4-year degree for Medical Assistant certification
- Effective verbal, reading, and listening communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Empathetic and compassionate care provider
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment & support the medical practitioners in the office
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience in a medical office environment or other healthcare related workplace for a duration of at least 2 years.
- Eclinical experience a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
