Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial landscape maintenance, irrigation, enhancement, and construction opportunities.
- Develop and execute annual business development plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry associations, property visits, prospecting, and strategic partnerships.
- Build relationships with property managers, asset managers, HOA boards, multifamily operators, municipalities, developers, and commercial property owners.
- Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to develop winning proposals and presentations.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities in company CRM systems.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, networking groups, and association meetings.
Customer & Portfolio Engagement
- Develop strong executive-level relationships with existing customers across the LPT portfolio.
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify additional service opportunities.
- Lead customer engagement initiatives, including business reviews, customer surveys, and strategic account planning.
- Partner with Account Managers to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
- Assist in resolving escalated customer concerns and support retention efforts.
- Monitor customer satisfaction trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Help drive contract renewals and long-term customer retention strategies.
Growth & Revenue Expansion
- Identify enhancement, irrigation, drainage, arbor, seasonal color, and construction opportunities within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Operations teams to increase portfolio revenue and profitability.
- Support cross-selling and upselling initiatives throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Track and report sales activities, opportunities, win rates, and revenue performance.
Strategic Leadership
- Represent LPT's mission, values, and commitment to customer care.
- Provide market intelligence regarding competitors, pricing trends, and customer needs.
- Assist leadership in developing sales strategies, market expansion plans, and customer growth initiatives.
- Support branding, marketing, and customer communication efforts.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- New contract revenue secured
- Gross margin generated from new business
- Number of qualified opportunities created
- Proposal win rate
- Customer retention rate
- Portfolio revenue growth
- Customer satisfaction scores
- Enhancement and cross-sell revenue generated

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of business development, sales, account management, or customer relationship experience.
- Commercial landscape industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with HOAs, multifamily, commercial real estate, municipalities, or related industries is highly desirable.
