Duties
- Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services using current techniques and industry best practices
- Perform professional nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and sanitation standards
- Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace adhering to all health regulations and sanitation protocols
- Offer personalized consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable hair or nail treatments
- Upsell additional services or retail products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Stay current with industry trends in hair care, makeup application, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and color theory to provide innovative solutions
- Communicate effectively with clients to build rapport, ensure comfort, and foster long-term relationships
- Mentor junior team members when needed and contribute positively to store management efforts
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology license or barbering certification with experience working in the beauty industry
- Proficiency in hair styling, coloring techniques, hair extensions, and makeup application
- Skilled in nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and infection control procedures in a salon setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and provide outstanding customer service
- Experience with store management tasks is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued
- Ability to perform detailed work efficiently while maintaining a lively and positive attitude
