Since 1997, Centurion has proudly partnered with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to incarcerated individuals throughout the state. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate physician to serve as Site Medical Director at Hancock State Prison in Sparta,Georgia.
This is an exceptional physician leadership opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, leading medical operations, and driving clinical excellence. As Site Medical Director, you will have the opportunity to shape medical care delivery, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and make a meaningful impact on an underserved patient population.
The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
Active and unrestricted Ga state license or the ability to obtain one required
Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Ability to pass credentialing and background check
