Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using spreadsheets and financial software, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently, verifying invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and ledger accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts by developing detailed financial models and analysis.
- Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tax accounting accuracy and adherence to financial regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients or vendors regarding billing inquiries, payment statuses, or documentation requests to foster positive relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with strong knowledge of financial software systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and perform detailed analysis for decision-making purposes.
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance standards such as GAAP and tax laws.
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions processes is a plus but not required.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and cross-team collaboration.
- Background in auditing, financial regulation compliance, or related fields is highly desirable.
