Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and organize product displays
- Ensure the store is clean and well-organized
- Assist with ringing up sales accurately while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries
- Support supervising staff in managing daily store operations when needed
- Engage customers through effective communication skills to promote products and services
- Perform basic retail math for transactions, pricing, and inventory management
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience in a grocery store or similar retail environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Experience with merchandising, stock management, and product demos beneficial
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not required
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and transactions
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
