Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and managing marketing initiatives that strengthen the company’s brand, promote its products and services, and support business objectives. The role combines digital marketing, website management, social media strategy, advertising campaigns, and public relations activities to increase engagement, enhance brand visibility, support recruitment activity, and generate interest in career opportunities.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Website Management
- Lead the evolution and redesign of the company website, creating a modern, engaging, and user-focused digital experience that reflects the brand and supports business objectives.
- Create and optimize campaign pages, recruitment content, and digital experiences that increase engagement, generate interest, and support business growth.
- Use analytics, SEO insights, and user behavior data to continually improve website performance, content effectiveness, and overall digital experience.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to bring the website vision to life, managing content development, creative assets, timelines, and delivery.
Social Media Management
- Develop and implement a social media strategy to establish and grow the company’s presence across relevant platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging channels.
- Define channel objectives, target audiences, and content approaches that strengthen brand awareness, support recruitment efforts, and showcase the company’s people, projects, and culture.
- Build and manage a content calendar, creating engaging, high-quality content that brings the brand to life and drives audience engagement.
- Partner with internal teams and subject matter experts to identify stories, campaigns, and opportunities that demonstrate the company’s values, expertise, and impact.
- Monitor performance metrics, audience insights, and industry trends to continually refine the strategy and maximize reach and engagement.
- Establish social media governance, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a consistent and professional brand presence.
Advertising & Campaign Management
- Develop, execute and optimize integrated marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness, support business objectives and drive engagement across target audiences.
- Create campaign strategies, messaging, and promotional assets across digital channels, including paid search, social media advertising, email marketing, and other relevant platforms.
- Manage campaign budgets, timelines, and external partners to ensure effective delivery and return on investment.
- Analyze campaign performance using key metrics and insights to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities, and continuously improve results.
- Partner with agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate campaign development, creative execution, and media activity.
- Develop compelling campaign content and materials that align with brand standards and effectively communicate the company’s value proposition.
Public Relations & Communications
- Develop and execute public relations strategies that strengthen brand awareness, enhance reputation, and support business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant media outlets, industry organizations, and external stakeholders to increase brand visibility and share company stories.
- Create compelling communications materials, including press releases, media statements, announcements, articles, and thought leadership content.
- Identify opportunities to showcase the company’s people, projects, expertise, and achievements through proactive media engagement and storytelling.
- Support internal communications and employer branding initiatives that engage employees and promote the company’s culture and values.
- Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment, providing insights and recommendations to protect and enhance the company’s reputation.

Industry specific knowledge that would be seen in an ideal candidate:
- Working knowledge of building materials and heavy civil construction sectors, including aggregates (sand, gravel, stone), ready-mix concrete, concrete products, asphalt, and paving products.
- Familiarity with road, bridge, and infrastructure construction processes, including grading, paving, concrete placement, drainage systems, and maintenance projects.
- Experience marketing to contractors, engineers, municipalities, DOT agencies, and infrastructure developers.
- Ability to translate technical product specifications (mix designs, material gradations, performance characteristics) into clear, value-driven marketing content.
- Experience developing marketing campaigns that highlight safety, durability, quality, and performance of materials in real-world applications.
- Ability to create content showcasing projects such as highways, bridges, commercial developments, and site work.
- Understanding of logistics and regional service considerations (plant locations, trucking, delivery timelines) and how they impact marketing and customer messaging.
- Experience supporting local market presence across multiple regions or plant locations.
Skills / Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of SEO, social media analytics, and campaign tracking.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Academic & Industry/Trade Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related role
