Overview
The Documentation Compliance Specialist Assistant supports the organization by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant documentation across assigned staff and consumer records. This role assists with reviewing service notes, identifying missing or incorrect documentation, and providing guidance to staff to maintain compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and monitor service documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify missing, late, or incorrect notes and follow up with assigned staff
- Assist staff with documentation-related questions and corrections
- Ensure documentation meets agency policies, billing requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Track documentation issues and report trends or concerns to management
- Maintain confidentiality of all consumer and staff records
- Communicate professionally and effectively with staff and supervisors
- Assist with audits, corrections, and documentation clean-up as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Experience in documentation, compliance, or administrative support preferred
- Experience in human services, healthcare, or IDD settings is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computers, documentation systems, and email
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Pay: $15.00 per hour
