Jax Builders Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of custom homes, townhomes, multifamily, and apartment projects throughout the Jacksonville area.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily jobsite operations from groundbreaking through turnover
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections
- Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and quality control
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Communicate with project managers, owners
- Track project progress and resolve field issues
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Proven ability to hold subcontractors accountable without losing control of the jobsite cuiture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience in residential and multifamily construction
- Experience managing custom homes and multifamily projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency with construction management software is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 strongly preferred
